Our Tenant Adviser provides free, confidential support to help tenants stay secure in their homes and manage any financial or wellbeing challenges that affect their tenancy.

The service offers:

  • Help with Universal Credit, Council Tax Reduction, benefits checks and income maximisation
  • Support with budgeting, money management and rent planning
  • Guidance on changes in circumstances, form-filling and understanding letters
  • Access to grants, emergency support and community resources
  • Pre-tenancy and new-tenancy support
  • Housing options information and referrals to specialist services
  • Support with issues affecting tenancy sustainment, including health, digital access or practical barriers

Support is warm, trauma-informed and tailored to each tenant. The aim is early help, preventing arrears from escalating and ensuring tenants know their rights and options.

You can speak with the Tenant Adviser by home visit, outreach session (Kyle or Broadford), phone, video call or email.
